I shot this doe in Putnam County Sunday evening on the last day of archery season at 6:00 with my Matthews Chill-X and Grim Reapers. Had six minutes of legal shooting time left when she came by. I had actually seen a good buck around 5:00, but he was about 120 yards through the woods and heading the wrong direction.

This doe wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but sometimes you have to take what the good Lord gives you. 35 yard double lung and she literally went 15 yards and tipped over.

It would have been a lot easier to stay home and watch the Colts, but I knew I had to give it one last try. Glad I went out even those it was snowing with 20+ mph winds. Wind chill at dark was 7 degrees. Great hunt. Counting the days until October 1st!

cool great end to the season. I still have till the end of the month if i want to purchase my urban tag but only see 5 deer all season so not sure if i want to eat another tag
