Is blaze orange required if your in a county that dosnt honor the late gun Antlerless ?? Wabash county is 3 bonus, so no late deer gun slaughter....regs dont specify county, just says during late gun antlerless blaze is required ....

I dont know... regs are indecisive..... my partner is heading out tomorrow on our lease, I work....I cant get back out till the 3rd, thats my last day...regular season ends Sun. the 4th.....

Why would it be required? No guns, no orange! The regs are not "indecisive". They say if you are archery hunting during the late antler less season you have to have it on. If hunting in a late season county YES! If you are in a county that does not have the late season, then you are exempt.

They could specify that "counties without the late antlerless gun" are exempt.... just sayin' ..... ;0)

Yes. The Indiana Code posted below states that Hunter Orange must be worn during the established season which would be by date not location. Therefore, a hunter would be required to have hunter orange during the special antlerless firearms season no matter which county the individual is hunting in.

(b) As used in this section, "wear hunter orange" means to expose on one's person as an outer garment one (1) or more of the following articles of clothing that are solid hunter orange in color:
(1) A vest.
(2) A coat.
(3) A jacket.

(c) This subsection applies only during the season when hunting by firearms (as defined in IC 14-22-40-3) is permitted under 312 IAC. A person who hunts for:

Crap !.....never listen to Yaz ......... this is how I was reading it because it dosnt specify any exempt conties......I was right ....

Needs changed to exempt counties with out the late antlerless slaughter.... I'll petition for it ;0)

ONLY WHEN HUNTING BY FIREARMS. My county does NOT have the FIREARMS SEASON. READ IT!

IF I am hunting in a county (bow or gun) that has a firearms SEASON then yes.

That answer came from a CO. Just ask your local guy and see what they say.

That sounds easy but you could be hunting 50yrds or less from a guy with a gun in a different county.....then what!!!

Guys could be archery hunting 50 yards from a guy on a special early gun hunt too......no different.

18 state park hunts on Dec. 1 and 2, when the rest of the state is archery only for that week. How many guys do you think were sitting the perimeters those days waiting on deer to be pushed out?

Yep...I forgot about them park hunts dates!! The State either needs to move them dates to align with a gun or muzzy season or do what there doing in late antlerless per Hunter Orange.

When have you known them to use "common sense"?? If I were a betting man,,,I'd say probably never.

I have a great idea.. do away with the late antlerless season and resolve these issue !!

I have never had a deer spook because I was wearing a hunter orange hat. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

+1 Doesn't spook deer and helps me stay a little safer, I'd just wear it, don't need a law or regulation to tell me to do something that just makes sense.

But it sure made it hard for me to sneak around yaz's place with that dag gone Orange hat on. trying to get me one of them big bucks he had down there
