Had the son in law with us over the holiday weekend and he was really more about just getting a deer, so I changed my tune and we both shot nice does.
Had kind of forgotten how jacked up and excited "rookies" get about some basic success deer hunting. I had a great time as well, and we put some good meat in the freezer. Well stated. If you want more proof - just follow Luke and Evan along on the youth hunt at CB Farms where a buck can't be taken. They could care less about bone. It is about the experience, the hunt, the friendships, and the discipline learned to pass and shoot a doe. Good reminder.
