I spent about 5 hours in the woods shed hunting yesterday between my Indiana lease and the family farm in Ohio. I also pulled my cams and checked the cards.
All in all is was a good day. I found 2 sheds. One was a nice one from the lease. The other one was just a dink! I am still not convinced that all deer have shed their head gear for the year. As, I have bucks on cam as recent as 3/13 with their racks.
I ended up seeing a total of 25 deer, 15 woodc0cks, and a couple of bunnies.
Here are some pics from the day.
There were 13 deer in this group that let me get surprisingly close.

Here are the sheds I found:

What do you think of the bigger shed? The main beam measured 19 inches. The G2 was 9 inches with the brow tine measuring at 8 in. If you look close you can see that the brow splits. There is also a point broke off right behind the brow.
Here are a couple pictures of the same buck on the 13th of March. He must have lost his left side that day because I have pics that evening with it missing. Will he be a shooter in the fall?

Finally, I wanted to show a picture of an unusual deer I got on cam in Ohio. Yes the date is correct. Yes that does appear to be a fawn with spots. I also have video of this deer.
