I have huge old oak trees that I have never seen a mast crop on, have them this year!!!! They are loaded. I HOPE the deer will find them, as the deer don't ever swing through that part of the farm.

If the crops aren't cut in your area by then..... the deer will find 'em!

Absolutely! It's a beautiful thing!

I'm glad someone mentioned this. I have tons of walnuts but only a few oaks. I hear people talking about hunting acorns and always ignored it because I don't usually have any. I went out the other day and thought I was seeing thing with acorns on the ground already.

The more abundant the acorn crop the more difficult to pick which trees the deer will feed under. Every oak I walked near on Friday and Saturday in Switzerland county had nuts

Sure is a great crop of nuts this year and they are big. Maybe wildlife will get a break this winter and have plenty to eat. h.h.

Red Oak is loaded and dropping started about a week ago. The red scarlet oaks are to young.
The black oak and pine oak are loaded and just started to drop.
The bur, white, and English are loaded and not dropping yet. I checked yesterday.
Only the Shumard oaks are typical with acorns.
Other the past thirty years the best I have ever seen. It every oak tree, not just some of them.
