So I totally forgot that yesterday was opening day....in my mind for some reason I had this coming Saturday as opening day.
And yesterday was a beautiful day....I decided to mow my yard which is about 10 acres and it took me about 3 1/2 hours.
When I was done I built a fire down by my pond and watched for turkeys in my upper field as they would always show themselves. sure enough they did.
I sent this below pic to a good buddy of mine (who will be hunting with me this Saturday)

He says to me “why aren’t you hunting them now?”
I says “turkey season comes in Saturday”
He says “uh...you’d better check your dates again”
......and I did!!!!
Great!!!! What a dope I am...lol
So even though rain was here for today I went out and it paid off.
11 3/4” beard and sharp as a tack 1” spurs.
Weight I’m guessing 20-21ish

Tomorrow I take my daughter out and then Saturday my bud.
There’s other toms around and nice thing about shooting mine with a bow it was nice and quiet.
