Very good looking deer! Seems like a lot of nice bucks around.

We have some really big bucks hanging around this year and the racks are huge already. I know many of them shed antlers this year in mid Jan. Is there any possibility they started growing sooner also, and that's why the racks are unusually big? Or is it just nutrition/genetics? I know that food plots aren't supposed to make bigger racks, but many people around me have them as do I, so maybe it helped through the winter? I will say the harsh winter seemed to have very little impact on the deer herd around me (west central).

No impact on the herd around me either.

Around me is basically a big food plot....1000's of acres of corn and beans with small wood lots mixed in. Plenty of food.

buck#1 seems to have vanished off this farm. #2 is still hanging around. Time is accurate. He is on his feet at 1120 AM.

I hope he stays with you Chevy! We have a trio that has been consistently on camera between 11 and 2 during the mid day time frame. Good luck on him.
