Hunting since 1999, but this is my first year saddle hunting with the Tethrd Mantis and climbing sticks.
Deer Hunting since 1999 (Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana Antelope) Marketing Guy in Chicago but grew up in Indiana/ Ball State.. blah blah blah.

This is my first year. I've sat 3 times so far. I don't like using climbing sticks, but the actual saddle is pretty comfy. I'm a big guy and it is still pretty good. I have the predator platform and several climbing sticks. I'm digging it so far. Will need 5-10 more sits before I think I'll be truly used to it, though.
I decided to try it after using my summit climber and putting it on the opposite side of the tree (to hide). When doing this I stood the entire time to make sure I didn't miss any deer coming down the trail. Nailed a doe at 40 yards, she never new I was there because I was hidden behind the tree.
I figured the only difference between this and saddle hunting was NOT carrying a huge climber with me.
