I've got a couple of deer I'd like to get scored and thought about bringing them to the expo. What steps do I need to follow to get them scored? Thanks

All you need is 15.00 dollars per deer, all pictures and paperwork will be done at the show. I want to be clear here, if the deer does not score the minimum of 140 inches, you will still pay the 15.00.
Also research and know the date you killed the deer, many times folks know the year but have no idea the date. It is important on the paperwork.

And, expect to wait up to two hours minimum to have them scored and that depends on the volume of heads that need to be scored and whether or not they are Boone or Pope, which might then make it longer if there are a number of heads in front of yours.

ebrown:
We choose scorers for specific county/areas where scorers are needed. If you have not been contacted it is because of the scorers in your area today.
I'm not getting into a wizzin match on who gets chosen to score a deer. We choose on a "need" basis per county/area.
Apply for a neighboring county, and you will probably be chosen............ Do the research on what the surrounding counties have in scorers.....

Delaney said it right. I have scored at the classic several times and the 2 hour minimum is very rare to say the least. Most people wait alot longer than that in my estimation. Friday would be the best time to get one scored I would say.

Mr Bogucki will be at the Expo, stop by and talk to him about when he will hold the next scoring class. I'm sure he wants more than one scorer per county.
The wait never exceeded two hours last year, the best times are Friday, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.
To score a typical deer it takes me about 45 minutes. It takes some time to get the job done correctly. We have had very few complaints on how long it takes to get the deer scored.

It's a little late but I did have my deer scored. Arrived around 11 am and dropped him off. Took in the show while it was being scored. Took about 2-2.5 hours. Pretty good experience other than trying to carry my mount in and out. Deer went 156 7/8 gross and 151 3/8 net. I was totally shocked it was that big.
