I had similar shot placement on a big ten last year that I had never recovered, but on the opposite side. 7 yard shot tops, pin drops of blood. I know there is heavy bone close, but it appears you slipped over the top. Congrats again on a bruiser!!!

APIbowhunter OP Member A Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 99 Jennings County	Buckwheat, I had this deer broadside at 15 yds but when I grunted to stop him he quartered to me. I shot him in front of the shoulder and my arrow exited behind the opposite shoulder.
