Bucks can drop from Dec thru April....I start as soon as the snow melts enough to see 'em....If there is little to no snow I start around the end of Jan, some of my better ones have been the first week of Feb........in the last few years sheds have been hard to come by....less bucks surviving, less bucks being born 'cause of lower Doe numbers = less sheds to be found.....

Thank you. I look forward to seeing your shed collector device and your successful finds. Originally posted by buckwheat: Good dog Chevy. I've heard retrievers / labs can be a good resource. I'm hoping with the shed collector & my trail cam I can do inventory on which bucks have made it through the year. So far I have picked one spot on a property that I hunt to hang my contraption. Did a little walking today & it's great to see a highway in the snow from all the deer that have made it. 1 more day left & we all get a new buck tag as my brother would say. If anyone finds sheds please post pics!! As well if anyone has other ideas of shed collectors please feel free to add. Just another great way to enjoy our resources.
