While I'm sitting in my heated box blind for a all dayer there is an old wooden ladder stand out my front window. Not to he corny but these words came to me and I thought I would share.

Leaning up against a tree
Build high in the air with
The intent of seeing deer
We visit them a couple times of year
Just to look for deer
But if we could only see what they see
More then a couple times of year
If only we could hear what they have to say
While were here a couple times of year.

life is over when your dead until then you have more pain in store so take it like a man and give some back!

A lot to think about. But the powers to be (work) kept me from the tree today, so i figured I would take it to work. Fixed the crew of 30 guys some deer sausage gravy and biscuts. Well in about 15 mins 4 gals of gravy and 72 biscuts later there wasnt enough for the dog to lick from the pan. They loved it.

The gravy looks great! Even if it is off topic.lol.

Last year I saw the remains of my first homemade tree stand fall to a bulldozer.. I built that thing when I was just 15 years old..... lots of memories there..
