How do you respond to your hunting buddy who just bought a new truck when he tells you that shoes must be removed and no coffee can be consumed when riding in his new truck??????????

You find a new hunting buddy that knows and understands how and what trucks are intended to be used for .

Advise counseling. Might be just as good to tell him, "you'll meet him there"! But, I'm a guy who has jumped in a stream to smallmouth fish in suit pants and dress shoes, driven my work vehicle with blood all over the bumper (as pointed out to me by the CEO of a major health system here in Indianapolis) and ripped suit pants on barbwire heading to a tree stand when I decided to go deer hunting without my hunting clothes, to name a few lesser things that i've done.

You ask him if the truck is dressing up as a Pruis.

Ask him why he bought it in the first place if he is going to be that anal about it...

That is why I don't plan on buying a new vehicle anymore... Don't have to worry and fret about it...

What kind of truck did he buy if he is going to be this nuts over it?

This one couldn't be easier. You promptly "accidentally" spill a little coffee in his new truck. If he gets pissed, you need new friends. I bought a new to me truck a few years ago. I offered to drive on the annual pheasant trip. My father in law proceeded to drop a freshly opened coke in the passenger seat at the first gas stop. Being my father in law, I obviously had no recourse. He expected me to be upset, but I just laughed. After all, I was planning on spreading pheasant guts all over the tailgate, because it's a TRUCK!. Just insist on driving every time for a while. In short order he will figure out why.

I like the coffee spill idea. Nothing like a couple coffee explosions or a kid puking in the back seat to break a new vehicle in.

It's just "stuff"!!!

Thanks for the advice. I really think he was kidding.
