I was taken to an old farm today. The owner approached me about getting rid of the coons. I have been around some old homesteads before but I have NEVER seen anything like this.

The place has a house and 5 barns. Each place was loaded with coon sign. The house has a wet basement and here is the trail coming out of one side:



The coons have broken into the house and have poop piles in every room. I plan on using bucket sets inside as soon as I get some made up. It is crazy.

Here is the barn where the coons dug a tunnel into the hay bales. Looks pretty warm and cozy in there:



There were mud paths going all over. I put out 10 dp's, 2 footholds and 2 snares. All I had left for coons.

Tomorrow may be interesting.

Looks like your totals are going to go up quickly. Places like that will just get better as time goes on. Every big boar in the county will stop by to see if the ladies are in.

Made up some buckets that I am going to use inside the house. For all you anti-bucket set users - all dogs will safe.

I plan on using this guys technique. Seemed like a good way to go and keeps the mice out.

You will catch a bunch of coon there bean. However, I predict......a skunk or two in your near future. Especially out of that hole in the hay.

All that hoopla for 1 boar coon. I am totally shocked that was all we had.

Good news: no skunks.

I gotta laugh at that third picture reminds me of hog camp at Florida. Guy across from my buddy was remodeling his cabin and coons got inside one night when everyone was gone and into the food. The inside looked like your picture but they had flour all over the place. I felt sorry for whoever had to clean up the mess. h.h.

Kind of like the movie The Great Outdoors.
