Should be getting in some MB-550's along with some other stuff this week....still gotta dye the traps and all the prep work. How harsh of conditions will all of you trap in using dirt hoe sets for yotes & what is the preferred method of keeping traps from freezing? Thanks in advance

Peat moss and salt for me. Salt is hard on the traps so make sure there is a good coat of wax on them and be sure to clean them good as soon as you pull them. I will do coil springs until the snow gets to deep then its time for more snares.

69 coons
19 possuums
6 coyotes
21 muskrats
3 skunks
1 mouse
1squirrel

Any suggestions on lures & scents? I purchased some Widow Maker & Coyote urine from Mark June....Just to start out. Getting excited to run a small line behind the house with the kids! smile

+1 when they get a good coat of rust they will take dye better.

Wax alone is sufficient and will save you time this year.
