never torn one in 3 years of use

the key is to grind the edges down smooth, Jayme does this on his machines he sells.

Made my first ever attempt at setting some dirt hole sets for coyotes. Set out 4 on my property. Can't wait to go out each day to check them. So far I only have caught one of my barn cats! I released him, but that was one mad cat! Just hope to catch at least one coyote. I did get coon number 5 last night. Not bad for 1 ten acre field along a river. [Linked Image]

All my traps were empty again today. It got real cold and froze up the ditch I put those traps in yesterday so Im moving them to shallower/faster water. h.h.

If it freezes up pretty solid, and you have field tiles still running and dumping into the creek, those are mink magnets!!!!!!

Success!!! Got my first coyote today! Pretty female. Man was I pumped when I drove down and saw her. Would have liked to take a picture of her standing, but when I approached she just laid there and stared me down.

By the way..I haven't caught a single coon at this spot I'm trapping now. Are things slower than usual for you guys too? I know this spot isn't as good as my other spot but DANG...1 coyote and 3 grinners was it for this whole week, oh yea, and 1 rabbit.

Its the December blues. 1 night you will load the boat, the next night nothing. My guess is that they are starting to lay up for a bit until the rut starts in a few weeks. Seems like every year around the middle of Dec. they do this. IMO

One of my pipe sets was missing the trap this morning. Bad decision not to wire the trap to the rebar which I thought was tall enough the coon/mink wouldn't be able to slip the chain up over the top. I lost a brand new duke 1 1/2 cs. I probably had a big old boar in it. The rest of my traps were empty. h.h.

Could have been mice. They are bad for robbing. I put a pvc cap on mine. Keeps mice out and most of the rain. Coons just lift it ff.

HH keep at it. Stinks to loose a trap.

We got 2 last night at the gang set. No pics. In a hurry since Luke had a full day of hoops.

Caught dog #7 today.

This male was not the least bit jovial. He was biting on the cable real aggressively as I walked up.

We then caught our second beaver in a snare. I will also show a pic of the weight.
