He did have some pretty good spots on him but his belly was really tan colored. This is the 3rd one I have seen in my area and it was by far the smallest of them. It was fun to find him. We were following a set of coyote tracks down the lane it was on and thought for sure we would have him in the last set. About 10 yards before we got to the set the coyote tracks went left into a thick area. I now know why. The cat had come in from the other direction.

This one was in a foot hold trap. There were 2 of us today so my buddy pinned it down right under the front legs and I took the trap off. After we let it up it sat there for a little bit so we decided to run the rest of our line and come back to reset it. As I was getting ready to back up, it walked under my truck. I backed up easy and it walked off down a holler like nothing had happened. It was a lot calmer then what I had expected.
