Cedar Branches in your totes or garbage bags or whatever you use to store your garments. This is the only cover scent I've used in years. My Uncle and hunting mentor would go pick up leaves from the wood floor and mix in with his baking soda washed laundry, about a week before season.(This was before the "Hunting Industry") I used this cover scent for many years but then thought, correctly I might add, that cedar branches would be an improvement. The only thing about using cedar branches is that I've found it takes them 2-3 weeks after you collect them to really start putting off a scent into your laundry. Also.....store inner garments separate from everything else. Nothing worse than a bunch of cedar foliage in your thermals.
SHHH.... Be vewy vewy quiet,I'm hunting WABBITS

Evergreen branches and smashed fresh walnuts in a big waterproof northface bag. Outer garments and backpack all inside. Hang the climber in an evergreen tree all season. Works awesome and all I gotta do is walk out in the yard for more!
Consistent luck is nothing more than hard work and preparation.

Cedar and walnuts for me. I picked up a bunch of walnuts(green) last year, placed them in a sealed bucket of water for a couple of weeks. Great idea..... until I sprayed my clothes with tem and saw my camo get a shade or two darker! If only I knew how to remove the dye they produce!
Also have just wrapped the walnuts and cedar in grocery bags before and let scent leech out in clothing storage tote. As noted above the branches dry out and become brittle and the hulls on the walnuts begin to rot fairly quickly....... but the cover scent is still there.
When science meets tradition there will be sparks.....

I do the same as Joe suggests above except the hunting clothes have been laying on the ground, in the dirt, outside for the last three weeks. I do pick them up when it rains and put them in a plastic container and then back into the dirt as soon as the rain stopped. Now, they'll be in walnut and cedar containers.
