Gentleman, I have a sweet spot on public land that is only accessible by boat - across a 20 meter creek (across).
I have hunted very near this location for years and I see tracks leading to this sort of Islandish area.
I have looked on Google Earth and it might be the only natural santuary in the history of public land.. ha ha.
But I need a very small boat, to get across this creek. It's too deep to walk across and its too wide to build something. But it is the perfect spot.
Any suggestions on the type of boat I can use?

I have an Old Towne Stillwater 12 Canoe that would be perfect assuming you can drive somewhere close. It weighs just over 56# and is really easy to portage or carry. That way you can bring your deer back across which is not easy to do with a kayak unless you float them which creates its own hassles. Plus it's green so easy to camo to prevent unauthorized use and departure Whatever you choose, wear a life jacket.

All great recommendations! Looking forward to this area. I've posted a pic of the area I'm trying to get to. Will likely hunt it next year since I always recon for weeks/months prior. ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/zfVGYl0.png)

X2.....folks may hunt it already. I do believe there are public land sanctuaries though.
