As many of you know, I was extremely ill this summer and very lucky to be around for this deer season. My inability to walk post meningoencephalitis really concerned me if I'd ever get back in the woods, let alone a stand! I felt good today and made it out this evening. Sat looking over the property corner and that prairie grass field. Saw two deer in the grass, some squirrels, a rabbit and an owl. Got down a little early just to ensure getting down and out ok! Beautiful evening to be out and pretty special to me! Thank you to all those on this site that have kept me in your thoughts this summer.

Not sure I'm gonna be that lucky. I've never been sick much in my life and I've been in and out of hospitals for 2 months. As of now, probably gonna be reading and listening to stories. That's ok...I'll get back out eveentually.
