Last week, I up-graded my Ruger Model 77/.22 Hornet trigger with a Volquartsen Sear/Spring. I installed it in my Ruger M-77/.22 Hornet rifle; taking me around 45 minutes, as I wanted to inspect/clean other parts of the the trigger assembly. But it was a simple procedure and I installed correctly. One word of advice, if anyone installing this up-grade, a good pair of long nose tweezers is very helpful. Also please be advised that the rimfire versions of this Ruger Model are different from those chambered in centerfire calibers, like my Hornet. When removing the old factory sear on the centerfire versions the bolt release will come off too, so mind the bolt release so you don’t lose the spring that operates this part. This must not be an issue with a Ruger Model 77/.22 rimfire as the bolt release is not connected with the sear. I posted two different videos showing the difference (below)

This past Saturday, I tested my Ruger 77/Hornet and was very pleased with the trigger pull, as it reduced the pull to 2.5 pounds, and this is a full 5 to 7 pounds less than the factory trigger. I was able to hit a gulf ball at 150 yards, after re-sighting my scope. This new sear & spring also eliminated the “creep” that I had with the factory trigger. Never thought how accurate Ruger’s Model 77/22 Hornet or other versions were, but it groups very accurate now. smile
