Got an email from the DNR today with upcoming meetings

Public meetings in four counties are scheduled in April for the purpose of forming county deer advisory councils (CDACs).

The CDAC meetings are organized and hosted by Indiana Whitetail Deer Herd Management, a hunting group.

The next meetings are:

• Whitley County: 9 a.m., April 1, Whitko Middle School 710 N. State Road 5, Larwill, IN 46764

• Cass County: 4 p.m., April 8, Izaak Walton League, 1046 State Road 17, Logansport, IN, 46947

• Dubois County: 6:30 p.m., April 12 and April 27, Reflections, 1408 N. Main St., Huntingburg, IN, 47542

• Porter County: 6 p.m., April 15, The Gathering Place, 131 N. Main St., Hebron, IN 46341

For additional information, including notices of future CDAC meetings, visit http://www.iwdhm.com/
I Heard Bryan Poynter (chairman for NRC) on a talk radio program in February confirm the CDAC is a pilot program not sponsored by the DNR.

If and when these CDACs are ever DNR sponsored they may really mean something other then just good fellowship/talk among the ranks which is never wrong.

At the current time the DNR has no binding to act on any information gathered at any of these meetings.....
