Long: Fenced deer hunting bill dead for the session INDIANAPOLIS – The Senate leader said Wednesday that a bill to legalize five fenced deer-hunting preserves is essentially dead for the session.
Senate President Pro Tem David Long, R-Fort Wayne, said he wants to let the courts decide whether the preserves – which the state has been trying to close since 2005 – can remain open.
“Just go ahead, give us the decision and we’ll live with it,” Long said.
