Quote from the article..... In 2005, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources passed rules banning high-fence hunting because the facilities were deemed unsporting and a potential disease risk. My question is....if the high fence areas were deemed a potential disease risk and banned, why are the breeding facilities allowed? Wouldn't the risk for disease still exist?

I was notified last night and this morning that the canned hunting bill was going to ammended into a senate bill authored by Senator Steele and he has no problem with it being added. Governor Pence is said to have nothing against canned hunting and IDNR is not going to comment(be asked or permitted).
That leaves sportsmen to try and stop it.......fat chance.
The only way to kill it is in the media, let the soccer moms do it.

The media doesn't have the gonads to report it. Just wait until CWD hits and the taxpayers shell out $$ to fix it. Then,,,and only then will they say.."How did this happen"?!?!?! This is beyond ridiculous.

I've #'d your quote JB for ease in making my correlated #'d points. 1) As sick as it is........I understand Gov Pence having nothing against "deer farmers making $$" in a Capitolism state/country (even though I am against his logic on this topic) 2) As sick as it is.......Once again, our IDNR is a puppet. A worn out.......kicked around.......disposable........."dictated to be quiet" at times........."dictated to be loud" at times...........PUPPET. I wish they (IDNR) had the balls to walk out of EVERY LAST ONE of their jobs tomorrow......and demand to run their ship, talk about their ship, discuss their logic, discuss their concerns and lead their ship like they want. I know alot of those IDNR Brass......they are good people, and smart. They would make GREAT employees elsewhere. The cup of PURE EVIL/POLITCAL MANIPULATION they have been forced to drink over the last few years by those that have NOTHING to do with IDNR or ideas they drive and want..........is stunning.

May all our hunts be safe, enjoyable, and deeply appreciated.

Wouldn't the risk for disease still exist? That falls under BOAH and the DNR. They should be banned. You will never get the legislature to do this. Sportsmen have failed to see the threat and call for action

All of you can do something. You have the power You can not blame others when you don't try. Very few support this you all need to act. How can people not see what happened with the Dani the Deer thing and not think they can influence things. You have to spread the word and not just to hunters

It literally turns my stomach to see bucks with such fake artificially genetically altered racks!!
I saw a so-called "hunting" show shooting at one of these places and the poor buck could hardly walk his rack was so heavy. They showed like 3 seconds total of a buck staggering out into a field and getting shot. It was HORRIBLE!!
