I have been to Leech lake in Minnesota many times. Always for ice fishing, since I have a buddy up there. We always get our fish, and Doug the owner of the resort has always accomadated us well. We are usually the only ones up there during 26+ inches of ice season, but he always does us right. The resort would be great for the family during the summer. Cabins, bait shop etc, and a friendly atmosphere. You couldnt fish the lake in a lifetime, its that big. Mille lacs gets alot of pressure, and I have been with alot of resort owners there also during ice fishing. Beautiful area up at Mille lacs, and the walleye bite during the spring can be phenomenal, but especially on Leech lake where pressure is limited... I have also stayed at the 'evergreen' cabin, that Doug also owns while non-resident deer hunting....very very nice.
