I have made simple venison chili like this for the past few years and we LOVE it!

-brown 1-2 lbs of deer burger in skillet
-add in 1 pack of chili-o powder and mix well, cook 2 min more
-add into crock pot with one large can of brooks hot chili beans
-add chili powder and hot sauce to your preference
-add one can of chili peppers
-add one can of generic kidney beans
-cover with lid on crockpot and cook for ~3-4 hours on high, stirring now and then

Eat with oyster crackers!

This is very easy to make and very good!!!!

I,ve made venison chili many ways, some hot, some easy. Some I cant remember what all I put in! One thing for sure, Brooks chili beans is what I always use. And NOT because my last name happens to be Brooks laugh Myself and others I,ve made it for get less gas if any gas, as opposed to kidney beans. Altho the kidneys are a staple in alot of chilis....I prefer Brooks.

My Basic venison chili I just brown the burger with sweet vidalia onions, drain. I add a 28 oz can of both CRUSHED and PETITE cut tomatos. My own chili powder, red pepper seeds, garlic, and seasonings, and of course Brooks chili beans. and let it simmer, or crock pot. Of course I make enough for my army here, usually last one good meal and a leftover. You just cant beat chili on a cold day. I make it alot to take out on the ice while ice fishing.

Deer chili is something that I make somewhat different, almost everytime! I just like experimenting with it.

Can't go wrong with ANY of the various ways either! laugh

I add in a beer (instead of water) to cook my chili.
Not sure it changes the flavor much, but can't hurt laugh

It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're flying with a bunch of turkeys.

For sure, I really like the HOT brooks beans and the chili-o seasoning but other than that I change it up sometimes too.
