Last year I purchased a 30-06 for deer and predator hunting. It was a solid gun and ON SALE! Lately the cheap scope that I bought for it but the scope that is suppose to work has not been handling the kick from the gun very well and came loose. So I began tightening the bolts again and one of the bolts completely broke. Needless to say the scope is still loose and I need another one that isn't going to do this. I need something at least 4-16x50 or 6-24x50. Ideas on good cheaper scopes would be great !

Probably not the scope...sounds like you need a better set of rings!

If looking for new glass, you can't go wrong with a Leupold IMO

It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're flying with a bunch of turkeys.
