Have shot many kinds: Using a Rossi .44 Mag Rifle

Hornadys: Okay...average(3 or 4 inches away from bullseye)

Winchesters: Horrible...waste of $40(Way off every time we shot and adjusted the scope)

American Eagle Federals: Perfect!!! Absolutely Amazing...outstanding!!!(Took us 13 shots to get 2 bullets half an inch from bullseye and one on the bullseye)

You see what I recommend buying... laugh laugh laugh ...Happy Deer Season!!!

Usually the "white box" Winchester's shoot pretty will in most rifles.
It's great you found a factory load that works.

Typically,I have found that handloads generally provide the best accuracy just because of loading consistancy and bullet seating depth.

There are loose tolerances with regard to bore size, rifling and chamber dimensions in factory produced rifles which can affect why your rifle may not shoot as great as your buddy's or a friends of the same make and model.

They didn't for me...but like CORVAIR said I guess it depends on the how the rifle is made.

Each rifle has it's own character...which means one type of ammo will shoot best in said rifle. One just has to try different ammo and see what your particular rifle likes.

Hornady shoots great out of my HR .44mag. My son has killed all 5 of his deer with that load and last years at 160 yards. Yes we practice a lot at 50,100, and 150 and yes he talked me into that shot! But he made it and the animal dropped in its tracks. Next time we go shoot Im going to run some different loads and see what happens.
