I heard a "rumor" that this is the last year for the lifetime permits. Any truth to this?

I haven't heard of this but wouldn't be surprised. I jumped on the oppertunity to get mine renewed for lifetime when they opened it up.

Haven't heard anything but that rumor every year since they came out with them.

Been waiting 7 weeks so far for mine to get here.

I've had mine since they come out with it. I had a relative buying a handgun at Gander Mountain, and the associate told him they were doing away with them this year. My son has his application filled out, just has not turned it back in.

Yer old enough...it prolly expired by now.

Normally, I would pipe back on that one. But this is the day after I had a girl out hunt me, out walk me, and she had to carry my gun back to the truck for me!!!! :rolleyes: So...today, i'll have to agree!!!!! :p

something like that doesnt just happen, it has to go through the state house and nothing has been brought up.

Just set up the appointment with L1 for Friday and paid my State fee. I've been procrastinating for a very long time, just figured it was time to go ahead and get my CC permit.

It's not a CC permit....... The general public needs to know this! It is a LICENSE TO CARRY HANDGUN...

the best money one can spend

I got my Personal Protection back in October thru L1. That's the best way to go as the State Police get your fingerprints instantly. I did my application on a Tuesday and got my permit in mail the Friday of the next week.

hHow long does it normally take. My son had his prints done, and completed, and then sent in the first week fo December.

Taking about 8-10 weeks now due to the influx of applicants.

Wow...I had mine in 8 business days last October.

I'm on day 8, still waiting

I just did mine a week ago. Went with the electronic finger printing to go faster lady still said 6 weeks. The old way she said is months and months and months.
