Anyone have any dates for shoots yet?

Nancy's Broken Arrow has one at the end of this month 25th and 26th

Not a 3D shoot but anyone in or near Sullivan County my brother in law has an indoor shoot nearly every week. It's only a 20 yard range, but the shoots are very interesting each week. The shoots take place at Trophy Hunters Unlimited right on the square in Sullivan.

What kind of stuff does he do dave

He's had poker shoots, christmas tree shoots, and all kinds of other stuff. This past shoot was a target with a star on it each branch was worth different points. But just because you have the highest score doesn't mean you will win the shoot. You can check out his facebook page at THU Bow Shop. He posts his shoots on there every week.

His shoot last night was probably his biggest. Over 30 shooters there of all ages.

Went to hawpatch in hope this past weekend..it's conveniently close..but wow
..The hunter class had shots under 10 yards so had to shoot a lot of open class..never used a 30 pin..very very disappointed

Ok, they look fun but have never shot or attended one. How does one get started? Just show up? Can you shoot the course outside the competition? Do you have to do both days? Don't want to show up and have the newbie be obvious. Probable should attend and observe first.

just show up. with a friend is best but not necessary. you walk the course in groups of four (or less) usually. just fun times and new friends. other than in a joking manner among friends, ive never seen anyone give anyone else a hard time. its just archers helping archers
