Check this tricked out Polaris RZR 800! I like it. Also the fastest, most suspension travel, EFI, side by side.

It comes in green also. Ya could camo either with clad if needed.

The Kawasaki Tyrex 750 is another machine I'm liking. It is carbeurated instead of EFI.

Looks sharp tho....... and this one has a camo option.

i like them but not sure if it would be worth me buying one but i would buy one of them rather than a 4 wheeler. the only thing with then 2 is that it dont look they have enough of a bed. i would need a bed to haul deer and decoys around.

well,, been doing alot of looking on the internet and the side by sides do look like alot of fun, go pretty much anywhere a four wheeler will, except some width issues. But as far as all the off road parks, UTV's are be coming a huge hit. Both of the above machines are sharp, but my vote is for the RZR. You can always drag the deer and I would bet with a little engineering, you could fit one on the beds. They are pricy, that is for sure...

Supposedly the teryx is going to be fuel injected this year. That would be my pick, but the rhino's are awesome too. I have ridden with alot of side by sides and they will go just about anywhere. What suprised me was how well they climbed. They were climbing stuff that we used to climb on our sport bikes, but don't even consider on our utilities. IMO they are definitely the best of both worlds. Good luck on whatever you get BOWBO. If you keep killin big deer like you did last year you better opt. for the one with the biggest bed.

I don't have either machine Ernie, but I have a Ranger 500 EFI that I use or joy ride on almost daily. I bought it because of the bench seating for 3(my family of 4 fits easily), and the bed is the biggest of all side-by-sides. Of the two your looking at, the RZR is the best in my opinion, as far as suspension and power, but not the best hunting machine....It has little or no bed, and I think that will disappoint you. I've never seen the Kawi in person, but looks identical to a Rhino to me. Just as kind of a side note, a friend of mine has a 660 Rhino and we have went on numerous trail rides together, and to be quite honest, the only thing it has on mine is a little quicker acceleration that is really only noticable on the pavement or open ground, and he may be a little quicker on some trails where my width slows me down. With a little wider stance and a little longer wheelbase, I leave him behind when we are climbing hills, embankments, crossing ditches, anything technical he is tippy. I drove his up some really nasty creek embankments the first time he brought it over and about rolled it over, scared me to death.... I'm not trying to talk you in to a Ranger, but just wanted to show some examples of where each machine shines. Good luck on picking one out.
Oh, and by the way....None of these are gonna pin you back like the Raptoid, so don't be thinking about turning it into a dune monster:)

I will add one more thing here because my last post sounded like a Ranger commercial after re-reading it, lol....Of the two machines your interested in, these are my thoughts.....If you want to rip up the face of a dune or fly down a trail, get the RZR, but I think it will be almost worthless as a hunting machine. The Kawi will probably make you happier because it should have sufficient power for playing and more hauling capacity than the RZR.

Bow, been on you tube and all the web sights, I think Coyoteman hit the nail on the head. The RZR is for play, alot of aftermarket mod's etc.. but no bed, seen one particular video of th rzr getting serious air, looked like a real smooth landing. The kawi is more towards work, being wider and longer, but is still fun on the trails. And you know my father in law has the ranger, stop by there and see if he will take you out on it, back in the woods. Its slow and big, but alot of work qualities to make up for it. Probably not going to fit on most trails. I guess you have to ask yourself, how much am I going to want to play and how much work am I going to use it for?? For all the trips you take the RZR is your answer, and you and scheryl can ride side by side...JMO

You're right Corey, it depends on "how" I will use it the most. And I would have to say, with my hard core sport quad background..... "most" of my time on/in it will be for pleasure stuff and fun. So sporty kinda fits me anyway. smile

But on occassions, I will want to haul a couple bags of corn/feed to the feeders, and a deer back to the truck every once in a while. Which I'm pretty sure ANY of 'em can at least get a deer out of the woods on occassion. And that's about it, that I would be using it for "cargo".

Most likely, I will be giving up me ole Raptoid in order to get the side by side. So I will still have the need for FUN RIDING as well!! And it will probably get used more around the house, local road romping, and some trail riding from time to time.

So therefore, width is another important factor ~ for the quad trails.... and especially my trailor to haul it with. My enclosed trailer opening is 64" wide. The Kawasaki Tyrex is 58.3" wide. And the RZR is only 50" wide........ to me that's a plus also.

Darin, the Ranger is not completely out of the question..... but I am leaning towards the sportier side................ at the moment anyway. I'm certainly not about to rush out and buy a side by side just yet. Right now I'm only exploring the options available. laugh

Thanks for the feedback/suggestions guys........ and keep 'em coming if you guys have more.

I'm leaning towards the brute force 650/750 for sure. Did take a long look at the RZR, but would like a quad more right now, plus I have the golf cart for around the hood. Ernie, when you decide on a price, email some pics and price to me of the Raptor and I will advertise over here for ya, lots of guys with money piling up...lol, thats how I sold my street bike after Afghanistan, actually had the cash before we even got back into the States so I wouldn't sell it locally....ITS A TACTIC!! If you get a chance, get on you tube and type in RZR and look at the videos, I was impressed

Anyone had any experience with the Brister models being sold through Tractor Supply...???

They've got both 2x4 and 4x4 models, with box beds or flat beds, 400lb bed capacity and 1000 lb towing capacity...

Sounds like plenty for hauling deer, and priced at $4k to $7k are more reasonable than a lot of other utv's for basic purposes...

Another big use for my utility vehicle will be snow plowing the drive. It's not real big, but it's big enough that I ain't shoveling it.......... EVER AGAIN!! laugh

hey bowbo i havent looked but is there a hitch on the rzr? if so u could get a cargo carrier like u see on alot of jeeps or suvs this time of year, for hauling ur deer or corn ,wood, whatever it may be. or u could rig up some sort of bolt on and take it off for ur pleasure riding. pushing snow with it? i have not researched just trying to help u get both worlds with 1 money! GL on ur choice

Not sure on the hitch Hut..... good question though. You make good points!

One of my MAIN worries/concerns.......... is overall width. The (enclosed) trailer that I have to haul it in is narrow. I wanna say that the opening on my 6'x14' V-nose is 59"!

bowbo - im kinda in the same boat as u but in a different way. i broke my wrist almost 2 years ago at work. so a sport quad like a kfx 400 (which i miss dearly) is not pratical for my wrist since i lost movement, and yea i hold my bow a lil different now but nothing a lil pin moving didnt hurt. but with that said im leaning towards a 4x4. like u say hauling deer and pushing snow, but have to love those 75 mph rides! its a rock and hard spot. i would still thonk that one of those (cant think of the real name) things people haul deer on that goes in a reese hitch is the way to go on the rzr if it is capable. if ya got a welder u could weld a reciever on and then use that for ur fall activites and u still have ur trail warrior for summer!?!?

I'm still leaning towards a 4x4 quad. If I thought my Wife would ride with me in a side by side I might buy one. But I know her and there is no way, she is going to ride with me!! I ruined that along time ago laugh . And I still haven't seen a plow mount or system for the RZR.

BO, the RZR is 50 inches, and the RZR(S) is 60 inches wide. Not sure on height, but looks about as tall as my golf cart or a little taller?? Not sure your tolerance in height on your trailer??

for playing i wouldn't have anything but an RZR! I'm telling you guys they blow the ranger and rhino out of the water. And with some creative thinking i'm sure you could use them to work as well.

Someone asked if i have as much fun in an RZR as a bike or a quad. Well, yeah and no. It's fun cause you can go anywhere in one that you can on a quad. Plus you have someone sitting right there next to you. My wife and I had several pucker up moments (and i'm not talking bout kissing) at the badlands! Those things will climb just about anything and you can flat out move. The RZR is very fast but comes with a big price tag as well! The Rhino's are fun and actually seem a little more durable but not near as fast or ruged as the RZR. I've seen several motor problems with the Rhino's and several blown up RZR's. NEITHER ARE CHEAP TO REPAIR! If i was to buy one it would have to be the RZR but man my repair bill would be ugly i just can't keep from going fast in those things.

I'll be curious to see what Kawi has to offer with the new EFI model. But i was very disappointed in Honda's Big Red. That looks like a golf cart with a roll cage. Just my $.02

I've owned alot of Kawi's in my day...... quads, dirtbikes, and streetbikes. I LIKE 'EM! They all have been very reliable for me over the past 25yrs. I do like the looks of the camo'd Tyrex...

But really like the RZR a LOT too!

Thanks for the feedback gpd!!!

Check out this Polaris RZR 800......... camo'd out!! http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff50/Jim08rzr/DSCN0180.jpg

Hey gpd, which RZR did you drive? The 50" standard, or the 60" RZR S? Did you feel "cramped" in it at all? Did you ever have an adult passenger with you..... how was it?? How was the power with a passenger? ETC? Thanks bud!

I've been in them both. The S does make you slow down a little in the woods but it handles like a dream when you are taking fast corners!

I felt comfy in both of them and have had passengers or been the passengers in them both. I will say when you are riding shotgun with someone it is quite frightning cause you just don't know what the driver is going to do!!!! smile
