So I did a little Spring cleaning today.... took several guns out of my Cannon safe and gave them some attention!

This one in particular, got special treatment... a POLISHING!! It was long over due.

That's the first time I've ever attempted to clean the metal since my Dad passed and I got it. Always was scared to! But the mirror finish came right back after all these years, thanks to the BEST metal polish in the world!! I've used it for many years so I trusted it

I believe that is a saddle model carbine. Years ago I had a Win 94 30-30 blued and never shot it. The 30-30 has probably killed more deer in upper part of Michigan than any other rifle. It is the ideal rifle for deer in the dense pine woods of the north. Great firearm. h.h.

I also have my father's Winchester 30-30 in the same version, Mike. Very accurate rifle if my old eyes can still aim it!

Yessir, it's the "Cowboy Commemorative" model... says so on the barrel in white, with the saddle loop!

Mine is the plain Jane version, but still holds lots of memories.

You will have to dress her up and take her out this fall since the new season will be in. Nice thing about plain Jane's you dont have to buy them a fancy dinner first.....lol h.h.
