Chevy, you're going to have to join the trapping/snaring picture brigade for this winter. Always one of the best topics/threads of all year.

I plan to I killed a small pile of them last season with archery gear, snares, and foot traps. Originally posted by delaney: Chevy, you're going to have to join the trapping/snaring picture brigade for this winter. Always one of the best topics/threads of all year.

Exactly right. Federal research has shown you can eliminate something like 70% of coyotes per year and still not make, what they determined to be, a significant reduction in their population. This is with year round trapping, 1080 poison, arial gunning and the like. Tools we don't have in the midwest. I think many would be surprised to know the actual coyote densities in the midwest. Higher than in the west for sure. On a ~2000 acre farm I trap on, there are multiple family groups, overlapping ranges, and always dispersal in the fall/winter when the pups find new areas..... I am in the same boat, I would love to start killing them now, but with the current market I am waiting until the fur primes up. =) Originally posted by Yaz: Originally posted by DawnPatrol: [b] Kill them all!
