My hunting partner, Buckhead13, killed this buck opening day of this past season. This was his 9th season of hunting my property and this was the buck he has been waiting for, some years back he killed a buck with a 2 inch spike for meat. Over the 9 seasons he has passed many bucks and has killed many does.

Here is my buck for this past season. After Buckhead13 killed his buck he began to see a nice 8pt, which he said would be great in another year. On Nov. 5th I went into a bottom to hunt and it was crazy down there. Eventually 4 different bucks were in a 70yd radius of me, and I saw the 8 pt, which was tempting but the other 3 were down in the mix and were being very aggressive, tearing trees up and getting betweeen the 8pt and a doe. Well this buck had both main beams top portion broke off, so I decided that if I got a shot I would take him out of the mix. Which I did. Last I saw of the 8pt, he had bird dogged that doe out of there. My buck ran about 20yds and was down. The rutting action we saw this year was the best(for us)we have seen.
