Shot last night, deer didn't start moving until 515. Was surprised this deer came my way, group went in cut bean field and he walked 100 yds into the woods to where I was sitting.

for why? are the deer really that few and far between where you're hunting?

i'm not really sure but is that snow, or milk on it's lips?!

Certainly some of the best eating walking the woods. Glad you're getting some late season hunting in.

Congrats on your clean, ethical, LEGAL, freezer meat! Buckmaster, your post doesn't even warrant a response yet I'll sum it up as inappropriate and I genuinely hope it gets deleted. I'll proudly be out tomorrow trying to fill my freezers void.

We had some of the cuts from the other one and I was amazed how good it was, been a while since I have eaten a BB...or 2.

That's quite interesting.. it only took you about a hour to find it and respond laugh
But as far as the BB goes it just boggles my mind as to why one would want to harvest a young buck and not allow them to become a large trophy. I never said it was illegal, nor did I say it was unethical.
have fun proudly hunting tomorrow trying to fill your freezer, oh and good luck! :p

Solohunter, for some reason your second picture brought to mind a picture of a whole roast pig with an apple in its mouth. Cooked about any way BBs would be tender and juicy, whether done whole or in pieces. Mighty fine eating!

May all our hunts be safe, enjoyable, and deeply appreciated.

Much rather kill a buck fawn than a doe fawn in my area.

Doe fawns make more fawns. smile
