Used 2009 Bad Boy Buggy XT 4x4 all electric UTV. 48 volt system. Seats 4, rear seat folds down for a flat deck. Warn winch on the front with dash board control. Rear 2" hitch receiver. Smart charger. All technical manuals. Title is clean. Get in and out of your hunting area with minimal impact. No loud motor to talk over while cruising around with family and friends. Enough torque to go over and through most anything.

I am the original owner of this machine. It has been used around my private property for typical hunting activities. My kids have used it to haul feed and straw for their 4H animals. It has been relatively gently used, but it is still a used machine. The unit just had a complete new steering kit installed per the manufacturer recall. The batteries have always been maintained and hold a good charge.

Not really, they have enough other "toys" for hauling stuff around for their animals. I am picking up a new Polaris Ranger as well.

Just like trading out a car or a truck ... time to move onto something new.

What is your honest opinion of how that performs on the batteries. i.e. rough terrain or uphill, distance etc.
Also, is there a gas option on this one?

I was a dealer for Bad Boy Buggy from 2007-2011. When EasyGo took them over they forced out small dealers and since I was really only dealing them as a side hobby it made no sense to agree to their financial terms. I owned several of the 2007-2009 models personally. Every one of them that I owned were pretty solid machines. They do everything that you see advertised. They will walk the front end up a tree just like you see on TV. They are quiet. Not ninja stealth quiet, there are rattles in new ones even and they all have a rear end sound that is inherent in the design, but overall they are quiet. BBB did not come out with a gas version for a year or two after I dropped dealing them.

Years ago I took an "original" BBB ran it from full charge to full battery dump and logged the distance on my GPS. I don't recall the exact numbers but it went like 22 or 23 miles on the charge over a mix of terrains.

The XT was a new model in 2009 and I sold several of them, but kept this one for myself. I never had any XT's come back in terms of needing service and at the time they were the most solid build of any BBB that I had come across. The XT will not go 20+ miles though. They stepped up the HP on the motors so they eat a little more juice. I have never put one through a full GPS test. But I have hunted on my properties a lot with this machine and never have been stranded. I took it to southern Illinois a couple years ago where I had 800+ acres to turkey hunt on and never ran it dead at any point during my week of hunting. It is pretty fast too, again, I've not GPS measured it but I am sure it will run 25+ mph.

There was a recall on the main steering mechanism that I did not know about until I started considering selling the machine. So I just had the recall work performed by Mutton Power Sports in Fort Wayne. So the steering is 100% brand new.

It is a solid machine for the price.

I'd guess that 25% of its usage has been hunting my 80 acres at my house (all flat and mostly open fields) while the other 70% has been primarily my kids using it to run bales of straw and feed back and forth for their larger 4H animals. Throw in 5% of general family cruising around the property or running down to the mail box from the house and this machine actually has been used pretty light relative to other used machines, IMO.

I am glad you sold it Derek, I kept looking at it and coming up with reasons why I should buy it.

No joke it was a steal. Believe it or not some very old (and nice) lady bought it. She had to be pushing mid 80's. She wanted a "golf cart" that she could drive through the snow and soft ground as she went down to her pond to feed her ducks/geese/swans. It was funny watching her climb up in it and say "this is quite the golf cart!" Real nice lady who had me rolling laughing. I hope that it serves her well.
