I am looking for a good but used recurve. I have decided i want to learn the art of traditional shooting. Im right handed and 28 in draw. I dont want to spend a fortune on one.

I can't seem to be able to get into photobucket today but when I can I'll post up pictures. I've got a Traditions, 28 inch I believe, with 12 arrows (never been shot), 2 extra strings and the strings that assist with stringing the bow. The bow hasn't been shot in over 10 years (I have never shot it) since I got it from LIttlewagon who posts on here. With my shoulder issue, shooting it is probably not a possibility for me. I'd take $125.

Billy, I'll give you a call or you can call me at 317-450-0617. With the storm coming tomorrow, I'm thinking it might be better to wait until next weekend to catch up with each other. I'm out of touch this afternoon. I could meet you next weekend one day, if that works. Let me know.

I am not trying to be a smarta$$ or Mr. Obvious but that is not a recurve smile

If you want a great web forum for trad archers, come over to Tradgang.com or the leatherwall at stickbow.com.

I host a trad hunt down in the Jackson Washington SF every year. All are welcome. We even let training wheels in: http://sticknstring.webs.com/2013southerninbowhunt.htm

Here's the doe I killed last year.

John, good point. It might not have been obvious. Going to let Billy take a look at it if he wants to this weekend.

Longbow recurve its all a stick and string to me. The pretty pink arrows did me in. I gotta have those.

For educational purposes only 'cause I hate a know-it-all. That is a deflex-reflex (or reflex-deflex depending on who you are) longbow. They are sometimes known as hybrids since they are sorta a mix between a true longbow (with straight ends) and a recurve. True longbows don't have center cut or pistol grip (locator style) handles. I have several like the one you are getting and they are awesome. Here's one of my favorites:

And, not to be a wooden bow snob or anything 'cause I shoot plenty of glass, but that ain't a stick. This is a stick smile

You should come to the Cloverdale Traditional Archery Nationals in June. Talk about fun!!!

Thanks for the education john. I am pretty clueless to traditional shooting. I had a recurve as a kid so know how to use one but thats about it.

The cool thing about trad is you don't really need to know anything. Just shoot. Make it as hard as you want past getting a decent bow and matched arrows but you don't have to. Enjoy.
