I redo this one every 4-5 yrs. It is in a funnel between a 2 acre ag field and a 10 acre field. Put a chicory clover blend in with some turnips thrown in, never have done turnips. Starting pic looking toward 2 acre field.

Finished looking toward 10 acre field.

Equipment used. Honda 420 4 Trax, board to drag after seed is thrown, King Cutter disc, Evolved seed, some 12-12-12, will fertilize again when it gets going. Hand spreader. Fimco 15 gal sprayer with generic roundup, sprays 8 ft wide. [Linked Image]

The equipment does a nice job.

solo, i usually dont plant turnips until mid august because the deer dont work them until the first hard frost. ive found turnips work best from gun season up until mid to late january. plot looks nice and as the saying goes, "build it and they will come". good luck, h.h.

Ok, the seed may have washed away after last night, the turnips were an after thought and clearance item. The only experience I have had with them was a buddy planted them in the spring(I helped)so I guess will see what happens...thanks HH, makes sense though with the sugars coming up in cooler weather..
