Please call the Governors office and ask that he tall IDNR to appeal this ruling. 317 232 4567

We have 400 deer farmers and less than 10 shooting preserves who favor this ruling. Surely WE can triple that number in sportsmen who are unhappy. Call TODAY!

Doesn't give any details as to what he based his ruling on... would be interesting to see a copy of the written decision. Time for IDNR to put their big boy pants on and file with the court of appeals...

Actually, if I were the Governor, I wouldn't appear this either. Why, well, generally sportsmen don't really give a crap because most sportsmen aren't conservationists, I'm not sure I would wish to spend more taxpayer money when it really doesn't appear there has been an outcry from the general public and if the public wishes to stop these types of operations then there will be an uprising and legislation should be possible to accomplish.

It appears that todays political world is fought behind close doors, especially influenced by social media and is significantly driven by special interest groups. Simply look at what happened with the "pet' deer last year. Social media drove much of that outcome. Frankly, I believe all the sporting groups need to dissolve and instead of small disparate groups, there needs to be a combined large group. Early this week one of the older large groups, Kiwanis (sp?) group I believe, closed down. The way to influence the future is not the way it has been in the past but instead to forget the past and move forward with a tech focused effort. Whether I like or support the outcome of the court, the deer farmers stood up and fought for what they wanted and to date they've won. Good for them. Now, it others don't wish to challenge the outcome in a manner that might put appropriate restrictions on these farming businesses, then generally, right has prevailed.

I would expect that the DNR will appeal this case. The lawsuit by IDEFA was lost last December in Owen county over the same issue. Now there are conflicting decisions.

Rodney should just pack up and move to OH, they would welcome him with open arms. Deer farms are everywhere there, particularly in Holmes county run by the amish.

Current rumor (and I stress that this a rumor) states that the DNR will NOT appeal the case.

I'm not surprised. People want to kill "trophy" bucks and for many, writing a check to places like this, may help get that "trophy" buck on the wall.
