Wife showed me where BW Wild Wings and TGIF Fridays announced they are "gun free". No legal firearms are allowed!

Both have FaceBook pages that are getting lit up by gun owners, let them know what you think.

Also if you hear of a business that doesn't support the constitution post it here. I wont spend a dollar there!

If they see it they ask you to leave, if you don't it is trespass. If you should use it legally in the resteraunt again you violate property rights, you were notified it is illegal to carry a gun on "their" property.

I'll choose to spend my dollars at another business. I'm a sales person and spend thousands of dollars a year entertaining customers, none of my company dollars or my personal dollars will be spent in these business establishments.

Big issue in PA right now where a number of outdoor businesses are boycotting the Harrisburg, PA big sports show over the decision by the sports show to restrict sales of certain firearms.

And if we all don't stand up against this abuse by our elected officials, we get what we deserve.

We got it just this past November......

Don't spend a single penny with the enemy!

As a salesman I spend thousands of dollars per year entertaining clients, none of my companies dollars or my personal dollars will be spent with these socialists.

Hey JB, BWW just did a deal with the NCAA! This is why these big companies simply don't care what gun owners think.

Webster Dictionary :
conceal: to place out of sight - hide

Thought perhaps I didn't know what "concealed" ment so I looked it up .

"If we don't hang together, we will surely hang separately." - Benjamin Franklin

Tell the restaurant manager that by carrying you're exercising your first amendment rights in support of your second amendment rights, then ask them why they don't believe in the Constitution...

Need to get a bill in the legislature that would outlaw gun free zones in businesses, as with the proposed bill for college campuses.

there is no no stipulation that handguns be concealed. In Indiana, if you have a license to carry a handgun, its up to you whether you conceal it or carry openly or tape it to your forehead if you want. Indiana does not issue a concealed weapons permit, it issues a license to carry a handgun.

The only person that said anything about concealed was you. I merely pointed out why hide whats legal.

It seems the outdoor show in PA has taken a large hit because we stood together as one.

Ok I'm going to bite on this and I'm sure I'm going to get an earful but it needs to be pointed out....
I just want to say that I am as pro-gun as they come but I am also pro-choice on how a company wants to run their business as well....

If Buffalo Wild Wings and TGI Friday's want to ban guns at their businesses that should be their choice weather or not we agree with it and should respect that.... I don't support smoking bans that are imposed on businesses by the government because I believe that if a business owner wants to ban a legal product then that should be their right to choose as such and if I don't like it, then, I won't spend my money there (just as in this case), I'll just eat elsewhere.....

Now does anyone know for sure on why they don't allow legally owned weapons there? It could be because they don't like the 2nd Amendment or it could be for insurance reasons.... If God forbid someone who was legally carrying got into a shootout with a bad guy and innocents are hit.... God knows the business owner is going to get sued big time because that is how our society operates today....

Like I said, if they want to ban guns then so be it, that's their choice..... Just eat elsewhere because I know there are plenty of restaurants out there that support the 2nd Amendment and would love our business.

Really do not want to argu this . But I have to ask - do you practice open carry ? How many folks that you know practice open carry ? Maybe I'm liveing in a really different kind of place but I do not ever recall anyone (except law enforcement) walking into a public eating place with a gun in full view . My point was if they do not ask do not tell them . Odds are what they don't know will never hurt them .

Just curious,If the same restaurants did not serve Christians would you have the same view?

Maybe you would, but if not, I'm just saying some hold the second amendment as close as the first.

No one is talking about not serving a certain person based on their beliefs. To do that, these companies would have to say they won't allow anyone who owns a firearm or is a supporter of the second amendment access. They didn't say that. They said they don't want firearms in their buildings.

And while I may not agree with their position (and thus won't be spending my money there), I can respect it.

Oldman, several times I've seen guys in Jim Dandy in Tipton who are not LEO's and do open carry. My 18 year old son, just back from Benning 11 Bravo, has an unlimited carry license, and has been doing open carry since he got back.

BTW, in response to a different comment, smoking is not protected by the US Constitution. The right to bear arms is...

You are right. They aren't excluding us because of our beliefs. They are obstructing us of our rights. It is our right to bear arms as much as it is to practice our religious beliefs.

I don't recall the Constitution stating "each man has the right to believe in bearing arms and they may do so in public venues, they may also support the second amendment and enjoy their guns at home". It pretty clearly states we have a right to bear those arms.

IMO both examples would be excluding a person for abiding by their rights. Many liberals swear by our rights as long as they fit their agenda.

If you respect that then so be it. The way things look with this nation, you are in the majority....Congrats!

Well smoking may not specifically be listed in the Constitution they are still a legal product so I believe it to fall under the First Amendment for Freedom of Expression.... That is why I don't support smoking bans...

We have to accept the fact that the Constitution goes both ways here or we are no better then the anti-gun/anti-carry crowd....

My dad use to be a trustee at a Eagles lodge and they have a no weapons allowed policy and one time told a guy not to bring his holster in even though he left his gun in his truck... Why you may ask.... Because he was drinking beer while he had a gun and my dad felt that was setting a bad example for those of us who carry.... My dad is huge supporter of the 2nd Amendment but he didn't like them/nor want them in the bar and everyone supported the choice of the lodge to run their business and never complained.

So guys, people have the right to be anti-gun/anti-carry just as we have the right be pro-gun/pro-carry... That is how the Constitution works....

If you feel so strongly about this, why not find an attorney and see if there are grounds to file a class action lawsuit on behalf of gun owners against the two restaurants in question?

As for me, I'll do what I always do in situations where I don't agree with a companies position or policies.....I spend my money elsewhere.

You're right, the mall owner and the store owners dictate what you can do in their stores.

To the contrary, read the article, Supreme Court has ruled in some circumstances that mall based businesses cannot prevent exercise of 1st amendment rights, hence your earlier statement about the BOR not applying would be incorrect.

By that logic, the 2nd amendment rights would potentially apply as well...

Well, have I got a deal for you. I had a meeting with IMPD, IMPD's attorney and a prosecuting attorney for Marion county last year that would disagree with your opinion.

Heres where it gets good for you....wait for it.

Go down to Circle center Mall and open carry a gun. When you refuse to leave, they will call the police(if they had not when you were first spotted). Then when IMPD gets there, refuse to leave....get arrested...take it to court and tell the judge your opinion and get it thrown out...then sue for your rights violation.

Pay check to you.

You might even get a new case law named after you.
