If you have never tried fall mushrooms, keep an eye out as now is a great time. I found a plastic grocery bag full of oysters the last couple days, probably 12 lbs or more. Also found a good patch of shaggy manes. Get a good guide for positive ID. Hen of the woods can also be found now. You won't have much competition, heck I can't even get some folks to try em. Not morels, but they make for a nice second season and go well with venison.
