I had that buck with the kickers at 12 yards the Saturday before shotgun came in. Just couldn't get a shot through the weeds. My dad had him at 40 yards during muzzleloader, but already filled his tag.

That's tough luck for ya man! And I know what it's like as I had a shooter 10 in bow range during the last week before firearms.... and I couldn't get a clean shot either! I sat down and almost cried after he RAN to the doe about 100yds away.
