Went today for a little bit. nada, not even a bite. Tried a lil bit of everything too. Couple more weeks of descent weather will hopefully get things going..

My friend and I went and got a few bites but with no fish. Had bass lures on and almost got one but got yanked off. After awhile we saw a big snapping turtle and decided that we didn't want to get our lures hooked on it so we stopped. Came back to the house and went for a cruise on the Polaris ranger.

Here are a few of the nicer ones. They were released to spawn! Once the crappie come up they won't be so lucky..

Had a great weekend fishing. Fighting the wind was tough, but we cleaned 28 crappie and 76 nice bluegills and redear. Good way to kick off the season.

Shallow. Water temps were up to about 61F, however this cold snap is going to push them back a little deeper and stall things for a while.

I know...I woke up this morning seeing that Randolph County was full of white again...but im thinking it will melt in the next day or so because the ground temperature is warm, so...
