I am going to be in Orlando for work in Jan. I plan to fish Lake Toho for the first time.

I don't know much about it other that it's reputation as one of the best bass lakes in the country.

Any suggestions for me?

Never fished there Chevy but I've heard the same about it being a great bass lake. Take some pictures because unless a cold front comes through you should be on the fish.

I have fished The Big "O" a few times and the private lake at Disney in early Feb.

If I remember right the fish were on their beds. Toho should be pre-spawn if not already spawning.

The guys I went with liked a Texas rigged lizard (one of the guys lived there on the lake) but I liked the top-water frog over the lilies/grasses and a jig pitched into heavy cover. I am a jig guy anyway and that is my preference. Big O is a pretty shallow lake.

I fished Disney with Stacy King during a tourney and we used crankbaits off of a break and we limited out in less than an hour.

Toho is supposed to be really good and my guess is that it may be like O w/ the spanwing pattern.

thanks guys!!

After 3 days of sales training down there in January, bass fishing will be fun no matter what. =)

Would be cool to have a chance to catch a 10+ pounder too!

thanks for the bait suggestions Bean. I am not much of a bass fisherman.

I plan to take a rod & reel with me to fish the small lake near my hotel also in the evenings, then head to Toho on my final day there.
