We kept on fishing without much luck, so we went back to the spot we passed earlier and found a few nice bluegill and redear. I had a nice gill at the boat, but it popped off when I pulled it out of the water. Greenedog had a nice redear that got dirty when it flopped in the boat. My son and I caught 50 9-10 slabs sunday(kept about 30) and ate them till my esophagus was full!
I was proud of my son for understanding the need to turn some loose for another day. Saw some pics on here this past winter of guys ice fishing and looked like they kept 200 or so. Really disappointing. Bluegills are a resource just like deer. Take what you can use and release the rest for another day
