I just got back home from South Dakota and being away from Luke for that long - he decided we needed to go fishing instead of letting me take a nap. He wanted to catch catfish at Brookville Lake. Any ideas where to start? I know there are ALOT in the lake but never fished there for them.

from my experience there is no one place better than the other. that lake is full of cats. we catch them bass fishing with powerbait minnows on a jig head. around the bridge is good and also the dam is good. my cousin got a fifty pound flathead here a couple years ago. good luck and have fun

Both causeways, and Egypt Hollow boat ramp are all good. Right after a rain, Egypt hollow is really good.

My buddy and I fish at Whitewater State Park quite a bit and the catfishing is great especially at the beach (even though you are not suppose to fish there)....

Bryan78, are they catching many gills down there now?

Haven't been able to get down there yet this summer... Both my buddy and I have been busy at work...

I never really fished for gills there even though I have caught a few over the years... I just mostly bass and cat fished it....
