Jackson County: Last night at approximately 7:30 p.m. troopers and Jackson Co. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of what appeared to be decomposed human remains in a ditch along CR 400N in Jackson County. Although not a complete body, the remains were initially thought to be human. Since last night a forensic anthropologist has examined the remains and determined they are not human but are believed to be that of a bear. It is unknown at this time how the remains got there.
