I caught one a week ago in a beaver set

I think he was about #215 or so. Got him skinned and CITES tag on him. Will be headed to HTS to be tanned.

As of Wednesday, December 16, 304 have been checked in...looks like it will be close to if the full 600 quota gets filled or not.

Nice, congrats on the catch.

Haven't seen or heard of them around here. I know that one of the release areas was the upper Wabash, but they probably don't like our always-muddy water here in the lower Wabash.

Thanks stick. I have heard credible reports of them spotted in fountain and vermillion counties. Not sure about Vigo Co/Terre Haute area though.

they have a huge area they range.

I would bet they are in Parke co. I have read that they are mostly nocturnal in the spring, summer, and fall...

Ive seen them 2-3 time at Salamonie Reservoir coming from ponds heading back into the reservoir. All three times were in the spring while turkey hunting. h.h.
