Haven't planted steel since the late 70's. Since I'm now semi-retired, I have Christmas break with nothing to do. Set out 4 dirt hole sets, 1 scent post, and 2 path sets for raccoons. In 11 days I took 3 coyotes, 2 raccoons, and 1 grinner. Thanks to Steve Reinholt for lighting a fire under my a$$ to get back into trapping. Really brought back some old memories. Remember to take a kid hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Congrats on your catches and getting back to trappin'.

Take kids all the time. Hunt with em now so I won't have to hunt for em later.

Good stuff ICO! Did you have any coyotes to trap in the late 70's? I seen the first one in Rush County in 1980. BTW- I heard Delph and Reinholt couldn't catch a cold!!! laugh

Never caught a song dog back then only foxes. Did catch a silver fox once. Sorry I sold it, but those were college days and needed the $$$. I was taught by an old trapper named Johnny Warman. He caught more fur than anyone I knew. Showed me the ways of the old timers. He never set a hole or post set. All path sets. He even caught a bobcat in the hills behind Hanover around 1979. ICO let him keep a foot but took the hide. No comment on the Reinholt/Delph remark. HAHA
