slow morning. No fresh yote sign at the woods but I did catch this red in a snare. Think I might get it mounted. Always wanted to but always sold the hides instead

Ive said it before not to many of them dudes up here anymore. yotes got them cleaned out. Ive yet to catch one in any of my sets. h.h

Nice catch Dave! We have seen a resurgence of reds in the last 4 or 5 years. Still not what they were, but we are seeing more and more…..same with the groundhogs! I FINALLY got the neighbors convinced to work on coyotes too! Coyote #s are down in our neighborhood, and other critters have benefitted. I watched a pair of reds last Friday come through our woods. It was neat watching them travel. I bet in the 200 yard stretch of woods I could see them in, their feet only touched the actual ground two or three times!!! They walked on/in every downed log, branch, blowdown, and treetop!!! It was like they did NOT want to leave tracks on the ground!

Yep, beautiful animals. Caught 2 last year, their tails are unbelievably soft and fluffy. Good catch Dave.
