slow morning. No fresh yote sign at the woods but I did catch this red in a snare. Think I might get it mounted. Always wanted to but always sold the hides instead

Nice catch Dave! We have seen a resurgence of reds in the last 4 or 5 years. Still not what they were, but we are seeing more and moreā€¦..same with the groundhogs! I FINALLY got the neighbors convinced to work on coyotes too! Coyote #s are down in our neighborhood, and other critters have benefitted. I watched a pair of reds last Friday come through our woods. It was neat watching them travel. I bet in the 200 yard stretch of woods I could see them in, their feet only touched the actual ground two or three times!!! They walked on/in every downed log, branch, blowdown, and treetop!!! It was like they did NOT want to leave tracks on the ground!

Yep, beautiful animals. Caught 2 last year, their tails are unbelievably soft and fluffy. Good catch Dave.
